Joe Horn got his wish: He’s no longer an Atlanta Falcon.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Falcons have given Horn his unconditional release, meaning he’s now an unrestricted free agent and able to sign with any team.
Per Schefter, the Falcons paid Horn the $2.5 million that was guaranteed in his contract, which may explain why Horn gave an interview on ESPN shortly after his release in which he had nothing but good things to say about the franchise.
The 36-year-old Horn started 12 games for the Falcons last season, catching 27 passes for 243 yards and one touchdown.

Joe are you glad your no longer a Falcon? Joe Horn is glad that Joe Horn can go somewhere else to compete for a starting job. Joe Horn thinks that the Saints and the Falcons don’t know what they were doing when they decided to release Joe Horn. Joe Horn thinks that Joe Horn still has 10 probowl years left.
P.S.
Thanks for the 2.5 Suckas!
Joe Horn out!

I think Horn is the main reason White is starting to become such a great receiver. Having said that….Horn is old, slow, and would be better served as a WR coach than an actual player these days.

I have alot of respect for Joe Horn, but he is old and needs to realize he has lost a step. He could have continued being a mentor to Roddy, Jenkins, Laurent, and Douglas. Laurent and Roddy’s improvements are partly attributed to Horn’s contributions I’m sure, but he is so worried about playing! Yes, he can still catch just about anything thrown his way (not too far over his head), but he can’t run with these young receivers anymore! Thanks Joe for your contributions…..now let’s see if Matty Ice can use it to his advantage!!! Go Falcons!!!

Looks like the Vikings will have a new receiver soon. The sad thing is that he will be better than the guy they made the 4th highest paid receiver this past spring.

It’s about time. Before he signed with the Falcons, Horn was supposedly a great team player and was going to be a mentor for the team’s young receivers.
Then the ego showed up.
Terrible signing, overpaid washed-up receiver, no notable result but wasted money, thanks McKay, adios Joe.

Would like to add. On the Mike Irvin show, Boldin himself said the the Eagles and Cards are talking. So Joe Horn can just take his sorry ass to Dallas.
