Joey Harrington on Michael Turner’s four-carry, 113-yard day in the Falcons’ 16-9 loss to the Colts: “Honestly, it was probably one of the easiest quarters of football I have ever played.” (Given Harrington’s career, that can’t be saying much.)
Two of Turner’s carries went for no yards and a two-yard loss.
Matt Ryan had a good drive towards the end of the first half but ruined it with an interception that Kelvin Hayden returned 67 yards for a touchdown.
He was also called for a false start.
Mike Smith has asked a motivational speaker to talk to the team about not complaining.
Joe Horn tweaked his attitude hamstring in pregame warmups and didn’t play.
Michael Boley injured his back on a tackle, jogging off on his own but not returning to the game.
Smith was disappointed by two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
