DT Tank Tyler is a poet. (”Roses are red, violets are blue. My team is gonna suck this year.”)
Rookie RB Jamaal Charles drew the ire of offensive coordinator Chan Gailey on Wednesday when he ran out of bounds during a clock-killing drill.
TE Tony Gonzalez couldn’t get any calls from the refs who were hired to officiate practice.
Despite giving up eight inches and 64 pounds, CB Brandon Flowers went high to break up a pass intended for Gonzalez.
The Chiefs held their last practice of training camp on Thursday.
Coach Herm Edwards is pleased with the results; “We got a lot accomplished with a lot of the young guys that are going to play for us. That was the whole key coming up here. We wanted to find out about a lot of young guys, and we’ve learned a lot about their strengths and their weaknesses.”
DT Glenn Dorsey, OT Branden Albert, and CB Brandon Flowers are on track to start the regular-season opener.
LB Donnie Edwards (hamstring) could return to practice next week.
On Thursday, WR Dwayne Bowe made a catch at the back of the end zone and got his feet down despite being pushed by a defender.

“Roses are red, Violets are blue, my team is gonna suck this year” gave me one of the best lol’s I’ve had in a long time, Florio. Nicely done.

I love the site and check it many times a day but I am tired of people not accurately evaluating this team. Admittedly I am biased in favor of the Chiefs but if you look at their situation honestly they will not be as bad off as people like Florio are predicting. The biggest concerns of last year that led to the team losing 9 straight have been or are in the process of being fixed. 1. We now have a competent Offensive Coordinator. 2. Larry Johnson’s foot is…not broken or whatever. 3. The offensive line has been upgraded in 4 of the 5 positions (the 5th being a pro bowler)
Now you can say there are still questions but do not completely trash on a team without properly analyzing them…please…

Mike, I love what you wrote in parenthesis there. You should be a poet!

So is this Brandon Flowers the same one that was with Darrent Williams the night he got killed? We know he’s not the lead singer for the killers…

Ummm…I think you’re thinking about Brandon Marshall, the soon-to-be-suspended WR for the Denver Donkeys. I see how you could confuse them though Einstein. I mean, “Marshall” and “Flowers” sound almost exactly alike.

They’re going to start a rookie who played guard in college, at left tackle, after he hurt his foot and didn’t get any practice at his new position?
