Falcons receiver Joe Horn, who has made it clear that he wants out of Atlanta, said on The Dan Patrick Show that he’d like to play for the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles.
But while Horn says his primary goal is to play for a Super Bowl contender (and acknowledged generally that there are other teams that he regards as contenders), he recognized that he’d “not be accepted” in New Orleans by coach Sean Payton. Horn and the Saints had a fairly ugly divorce in 2007, with the Saints claiming he had failed a physical and Horn complaining that Payton was running the veteran wideout out the door.
During the 2007 season, Horn blamed the Saints’ struggles on Payton’s ego.
Horn also realizes that he’s residing on the bottom of the depth chart in Atlanta, even though he seems to believe (but isn’t willing to say) that he’s the best receiver on the team.

I’d like to play with the Eagles or Cowboys, too.
I’m probably about as useful to them as Joe Horn is…actually, I may be more useful, I’d be willing to carry luggage around and hand out Gatorade on game day.

Do Eagles fans such as myself go into every post about the Steelers and blankly say “STEELERS SUCK!”? Well icase81, my deal is that the Steelers are clearly the best team in Pennsylvania. When your team has 5 rings you are able to talk trash. His not so clever nickname says it all. ClevelandSucks. He’s got the education of a 3rd grader and doesn’t know how to relate(or spell) to anything except to say that it sucks. “This sucks, Philly sucks, you suck.” Then he puts the same message up on every board. It’s more predictable then a Pittsburgh run up the gut on 1st down.
Joe Horn will never land in Philly. If he can get himself arrested in the next month, he may have a shot of getting a contract from Dallas.

icase81….The deal with ClevelandSucks and his gay live-in partner Lightpounder is that they have no life and nobody cares about their team. Seriously, when was the last post on here about the Steelers. There must be nothing worse in life than to be a Steelers fan where nobody is loving or hating your team. I mean, I hate the Cowboys and they’re inbred fans and they hate us too, and I love it that way. It’s a blast having that fan rivalry, but you Steeler fans, well, we just don’t care about you….Apathy is a bitch ain’t it!

I’m confused. Dallas is a Super Bowl contender? According to who? ESPN? They have to actually win one little playoff game first to get any credibility. And frankly, late in the season I wouldn’t bet on them against ANY team in their own division.

All of u bums talking all this noise about Joe Horn, obviously dont know football. Joe Horn got plenty in the tank. Hello! U dont have to run a 4.4 40 to play WR in the NFL…Its about running a good route to get open, or create some space or separation. And a lot of veteran WR’s can do that in a 10-15 yard radius. If Joe Horn goes to a west coast system (such as Philly) He probably would outshine R. Brown,and that scared WR (cant catch anything across the middle) K. Curtis. So, b4 u clowns start talkin sports out the rear, instead of facts, learn the game first b4 u start running off at the mouth. Or holla at me. Half of these speedy WR’s: Donte Stallworth, DeSean Jackson, Bethel Johnson, cant even run routes. I love my Eagles, but fellas, we could use Joe Horn

If Joe Horn’s skills have degraded to the point that he’s at the bottom of the depth chart in Atlanta - maybe the worst team in the NFL - what makes him think he’s got a shot at sticking with any contender? Both the Eagles and the cowboys could have questions at WR, but Joe Horn is not the answer to any of them.
BTW boys, it’s obvious that ClevlandBamPounder is an idiot troll with nothing to say. Ignoring him (her?) is the best option. Any response validates (in a troll’s “mind”) its otherwise pathetic existence. So - do not feed the trolls. Eventually (despite increasingly histrionic protestations to the contrary that surely will ensue), when starved of attention, they shrivel up and go away. Thanks in advance.

Ace of Spades - Brown and Curtis are fine and Jackson looks good so far. After that you need at least two recievers who can play on the coverage teams (don’t think joe horn will do that). That leaves one spot IF and only IF they keep 6 WR this season. I think they will but joe horn now is a posession reciever which I think Avant can handle for now…especially considering he costs 2 mil less.
I would welcome a top WR, but getting an above average guy is fairly redundant right?

BAM - The Browns won 4 AAFC championships and 4 NFL championships. I’m pretty sure there is an undefeated season in there as well. The world has been around pretty long, try looking back a few decades.

I’m not sure if Joe Horn is going to do anything more than Reggie Brown might already do. I like Joe Horn, I think he would be a GREAT mentor for some of the younger guys we have, especially DeSean. I’m just not sure if we have the roster space for a guy like him. I mean, when you’re talking about an elite receiver you make roster space. He’s not an elite receiver though. I don’t think he’s a significant upgrade over what we already have, especially at his price, and I think the Falcons will ask for more than the Eagles are or should be willing to give. Maybe in a different situation, but not this one.
I could definitely see him on the Cowboys, though. They don’t have a very good picture at WR aside from TO, and adding a guy like Horn would give them a proven #2 who would complement TO very well. I could see that working out for them, and it wouldn’t surprise me very much. I’m not exactly hoping it happens though.

OK, here’s the deal. Clevelandsucks and Bam Morris are one person( sad and lonely as that is), but, I’m pretty sure Buttpounded is still his gay lover, I think I remember him posting how they like to Teabag each other. I guess that’s why Clevelandsucks is always saying sucks….that must be all he has on his mind. God, I feel pity on you C, such a sad and lonely life living in that armpit of Pa known as Pittsburgh, nobody cares about you guys…..truely sad…..maybe it would be best if you just offed yourself, I know I’d appreciate it!!!
