Maybe the Oakland Raiders should change their motto from “Committment to Excellence” to “Caveat Emptor.”
Not long after it was revealed that big-money free-agent acquisition Javon Walker had to be talked out of retiring comes news that big-money trade acquisition DeAngelo Hall is already pissing and/or moaning.
Per David White of the San Francisco Chronicle, Hall claims that he has a broken bone in his hand, and that he shouldn’t be practicing or playing.
“I’ve got a little broken bone in there,” Hall said. “I don’t even feel like I should even be out here practicing on it or even going into preseason.
“But it’s something that no one else even seems to feel like its affecting everything so I’m out there practicing and playing the game.”
White asked Hall whether it was his decision to practice and play. Said Hall: “It ain’t my choice. I’m employee 23 so I do what I’m told.”
Hall was traded to Oakland by the Falcons after a series of incidents in 2007 that prompted the team to wash their hands of him.

Thank you so much Carl Petersen for not signing any of these ridiculously empty-headed free agents. I can just go down the list of players that at one time I thought ‘hey they might do well in KC’:
DeAngelo Hall
Javon Walker
LeCharles Bentley
Daunte Culpepper
Alan Faneca
Adam Jones
Chris Henry
I’m glad the Chiefs are sticking to a youth movement and not plugging holes with overpaid, ego ballooning maniacs with a nose for trouble.

Chief Wahoo, stop kidding yourself. Carl Peterson is just being his normal cheap self. Call it a “youth movement” if you want, but we all know it’s just your organizatio being cheap and bringing in bums.
Brody Croyle actually starting at QB? Dwayne Bowe the only WR on the roster? Your two 1st rounders being injury prone and youre counting on them to be impact players?…Hahaha….
Good luck. Looks like Arrowhead will be empty again come November and December. Tell Carl the rest of the teams in the West said, “Thanks for throwing in the towel!”

It’s true, this is going to be a long season - but I think in a year or two we’ll be back on top of the West. Seriously though, we’ve already been down the bring in the old veteran as a bandage road and it got us nowhere fast.
Brodie Croyle holds every major passing record at Bama. He’s capable if given proper blocking. Dwayne Bowe is a superstar and I think there’s also a guy named Tony Gonzalez that rarely misses a ball thrown to him. Also, check out Will Franklin (rookie from Mizzou), he’s going to be a major asset.
And seriously, I’d rather the front office be cheap than like the Raiders who bring in a bunch of head cases for FAR more money than they’re worth and who IMMEDIATELY fail.
Just my .02

They called him “MeAngelo” in the A-T-L for a reason; he’s a selfish whiner who’s a legend in his own mind.
Raiders fans should get used to him biting on the double move, getting beat deep, then yelling at the safety in lame attempt to deflect blame.
To bad for MeAngelo that Jimmy Mora is not in Oaktown to coddle him, kiss his boo-boos, blow sunshine up his rear end to soothe his hurt feelings and tuck him in nice and comfy at night.

Chief…
Croyle owns the Bama passing records… wow, that’s difficult, I mean, they’ve been throwing the ball downfield and all for what… the last 10 years? Sure, there’s been some good (and one great) QBs from Bama over the years but they all had one thing in common, they were really good at executing handoffs.

When “Weird Al” Davis seems to make a point to bring in every turd and/or knucklehead and/or general malcontent with athletic talent who is available, just what exactly does he expect? He should expect what he has received: the losingest team in the league over the last four years. “Commitment to Excellence” and “The Greatness of the Raiders” are now used to mock what was once a proud and actually great franchise. It’s sad.
Al Davis has more football knowledge in his pinkie (even if it had a broken bone) than I have in my whole body. But, watching games from my couch, even I can see that he needs to surrender his iron-fisted grip on his team and delegate to smart people, and get out of the way. You’ve had a great run, Al. Now, enjoy your golden years, watch from the skybox without interfering, and see what your team can do with some fresh thinking.

Hey Chief Wahoo, I live here in Kansas City and don’t talk about Carl Peterson like he is a God. What about Rich Gannon? I watched him ride the bench over bums like Steve Bono and Elvis Grbac. Then leaves for Oakland and wins a MVP and goes to a superbowl. I have been a Chiefs fan probably alot longer than you Wahoo and I can tell you they have had there share of Fu@@ ups. How about Bam (dope dealing) Morris or Tamarik(I deal in stolen automobiles)Vanover, and how about all the great free agent signings they have made over the years, guys like McGlockton,Bell,Law..etc…etc. Carl Peterson is a complete idiot who has been here since 1989 and has not done anything to deserve his pay. Correct me if I am wrong Wahoo, but when was the last time we WON a playoff game? 1994!!! I am a real Chiefs fan Wahoo, and I speak the truth. This is not a good team and until the Hunt family kicks Carl Peterson out the door they will never win a SUPER BOWL..
