The Browns have added S Brandon Mitchell and S Travis Key.
WR Syndric Steptoe might win a job due to his skills in the return game.
Browns coach Romeo Crennel apparently is in contact from time to time with CB Ty Law.

Baxter asked to be released in lieu of being placed on injured reserve.
The team is still buzzing about the catch that WR Braylon Edwards made two days before he caught a cleat in the foot.

I have the sense that Joe Thomas is a dirty player. I remember him several times last year punching some of the Ravens defensive lineman in the pile. I also remember Haloti Ngata and Kelly Gregg got pretty upset about it, and I’ve never had the impression either of them was of the thuggish variety. Might be an isolated incidence, OTOH, but was wondering if any other AFC North obervers know of similar incidents involving Joe Thomas.

Smashmouth,
I’m pretty sure you have that reversed. Haloti Ngata got a personal foul for punching Joe Thomas in the helment under a pile. You could plainly see it on the replay.
From what i’ve seen, he has been about as far from a ‘dirty’ player as you could have. Granted i’m slightly biased, but I know the incident you referenced and it was definitely the other way around.

Good to know that the Packer’s practiced indoors. Even better to find out in the Brown’s one-liners …

CleveJimbo–
We both remember the same play. Ngata was caught retaliating. I think Ngata and Gregg were quoted the next day complaining about Thomas. Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see what happens when these teams meet early this year. (Think it’s Week 3.) The Ravens will probably struggle because the offense still sucks as far as I can tell. But I can hope the Ravens D will be near full strength, which could make the game worth watching, because your Brownies look pretty potent on offense.
