QB Kyle Boller created two turnovers against the Patriots, potentially hurting his shot at becoming the starter again.
Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun was beginning to believe in the new Boller until he started playing the like old one.
CB Fabian Washington picked off two passes against the Pats.
LB Ray Lewis gave coach Jim Harbaugh the game ball after the 16-15 win over New England.
“What a thrill it was to be the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens and be in front of this group of men,” said Harbaugh after the gane. “It’s an honor to be part of this organization now.”
WR Yamon Figurs returned a punt 52 yards and a kickoff 48 yards.
John Harbaugh’s first crack at the coach’s challenge was not successful.
A whopping 16 Ravens missed the game due to injury.
QB Troy Smith will start the second preseason game against the Vikings; he’s expected to play the first half.
The 1958 Baltimore Colts will be honored at the December 27 Ravens game.
Rookie QB Joe Flacco was 0-for-3, and was sacked twice.
LB Prescott Burgess broke his wrist on Thursday night.
The Ravens racked up six sacks against the Pats.
WR Derrick Mason limped off the field in the first quarter and didn’t return.

They did better against the pats* then they did agaist each other at camp. There’s not much here to gleam from either side other than they got to go against people not in their camp

The defense and special teams are going to be solid. The offense only has to be average and the Ravens will be a contenter.

Ravens fans should be encouraged. The Pats backup offense looked like crap even against a Ravens Defense that was without five principal starters. And, thought the Pats defense looked pretty good, it was versus a Ravens offense that was minus its starting LT and three primary weapons. So, decent job all around. (BTW - this is from a Pats’ fan.)
OTOH, the injuries to Burgess and Mason have got to be worrisome.
Yeah, I know it’s really early yet, but, if I was a Bengals, Browns or Steelers fan, I wouldn’t be counting on two wins against the Ravens this year.
