We’re hearing rumblings from reliable sources that Bears rookie offensive tackle Chris Williams, the No. 14 overall pick in the 2008 draft, is expected to miss the entire season with a back injury.
Multiple teams were concerned about Williams’ health prior to the draft. Some were sufficiently concerned to take him off the board.
As we hear it, Williams has aggravated a prior back injury, and most likely will be shut down. This development, if indeed accurate, will throw a mediocre Bears offensive line into disarray, and will put even more pressure on the team’s defense to save the day, each and every Sunday.
Williams was one of seven offensive tackles selected among the first 21 picks of the draft.

And the Bears get even worse. I love it. The good news for the Bears is that their QB’s play won’t get that much worse with this loss, because thats not possible!

i already don’t trust Jerry Angelo. This would be the extra frosting on my already triple frosted cake.

The Bears are saying that it’s unrelated to his prior back injury and that he’ll more than likely be ready for the season. At least that’s what they’re saying during the preseason game tonight.

HA!
More proof that Angelo isn’t that great of a football genius. When you spend as many picks on the defense as you do, of course you’re going to hit on some of them and build a great defense.

Lovie has been stumbling around in the dark like a blind man walking through a minefield since the Super Bowl. Is there anyone who thinks he’s got a handle on effectively coaching an NFL team? And to take it one step further, Bears management appears equally cluless. The Bears can write this season off before it even starts.

As a Bears fan, this is a big step in the right direction. This is yet another strand in the intricate web that our fearless leader, Jerry Angelo, is weaving. His master plan is almost complete and 20 weeks from now that #1 pick will be ours!!!
P.S. We’ll spend it on a defensive end.

What’s the record for most quarterbacks to play in one game, for one team? With this line, and those quarterbacks the bears will probably find out. Vikes D-line may help.

Could they end up as the worst team in football this year? Surely, they gotta be drafting in the top-5 next year right?
