Raiders coach Lane Kiffin insisted that Monday’s session with the 49ers be set up as a practice, not a scrimmage.
CB Nnamdi Asomugha was excused from practice due to a little nnamdi in the asomugha.
DT Gerard Warren returned to action after missing several days due to injury.
Coach Lane Kiffin is still concerned about WR Javon Walker’s commitment to the team. (Lane, just spray a little champagne on him. That’ll perk him up.)
One of Walker’s teammates is surprised Walker hasn’t been able to stand out in comparison to the other receivers on the roster. (Maybe Walker is hoping to underachieve for two seasons and then be traded to New England.)
Would the Raiders be better off if they’d taken Walker up on his offer to pay back $11 million and walk away?
OT Kwame Harris isn’t pissed at the team that gave up on him.
RB Darren McFadden failed to pick up a blitzing linebacker during the joint practice with the 49ers.
The injured elbow of QB JaMarcus Russell is very close to 100 percent.
The team is still looking for a goal-line back.
In one year, QB Andrew Walter has vaulted from No. 4 on the depth chart to No. 2.

Javon is a bumb. The critics were right about this signing, Al should have jumped on the retirement cash back plan.
Word out of Raider camp is that the Raiders have a nice crop of young kids that are hungry: Johnny Lee Higgins, Todd Watkins, Jonathan Holland, Arman Shields, and Chazz Schillens. Two might have to go on the practice sqaud aand be at risk of another team poaching them.

Everything I have heard is that McFadden has looked real good and his committment to the team has been great. Bush will be a horse inside the 10yard line. I am not a Raiders fan, but Michael Bush was a steal in the 4th round.

“The team is still looking for a goal-line back.”
huh? Way to word that Florio. They are deciding on the best candidate between Fargas and Bush for goaline situations - not to as in still searching to add to the team. My money is on Bush. Sorry Huggy jr.

Hey Dick V…
Javon is not a “bumb”he is a multi-millionare elite WR. He has proven that in the past. With that said…
The Raiders don’t need the money back. Even if they took the money back they wouldnt be able to find another #1. That is of course, unless, Steve Smith is traded or released. The Oakland Raiders are one of the most profitable teams in the league. Al Davis sneezes 11 million dollars.
Besides, Javon has always been this way. His whole career has been filled with his whiney attitude. Yet, when he is hot, he shreds opposing D’s.
Walkers upside is HUGE, and if he earns his money, the Raiders could sneak into the playoffs with as wildcard.

As a big Razorback fan I was just beside myself when the Raiders drafted Darren McFadden (being an even bigger Chiefs fan). This guy is ABSOLUTELY the real deal and can be every bit the back that LT and Peterson are almost immediately. Oakland’s O-Line does a good job blocking for the run, and only the fact that we drafted a run stuffing stud like Dorsey keeps me from completely sweating it.
Watch out for D-Mac (and his compadre Felix Jones, Dallas) they’re the real deal.

@journeyman, wide recievers are a dime a dozen, good recievers(tounge in cheek) are hard to come bye. The Raiders offensive line is very suspect they need someone who can catch a ball.

RaiderFan420 you really thinks it’s that easy to find a #1 receiver, or were you being specific when you avoided a True #1. If it was that easy there would be a line.
-yeah, steve smith might(big frickin MIGHT) be available, but if I am not mistaking the bumb was meant as a character issue, and like you said, “Javon has always been this way”. don’t get so defensive, it’s not like he’s been playin in O-town forever.

Multi-Millionaire - yes. Elite WR? - Hell no. When he offered to give the money back, they had a rare opportunity to fix a mistake and blew it.
