Ravens running back Willis McGahee, whose left knee blown apart during the National Championship game back in the days when Maurice Clarett was still relevant, might miss the team’s preseason opener due to fluid in the knee.
“Right now, we need to get the fluid out of his knee and get that thing settled down a little bit,” coach John Harbaugh said.
Rookie Ray Rice could get the start in his first NFL game as the Ravens face the Patriots in a meaningless preseason rematch of one of the best meaningless regular-season games from the 2007 season.
