Despite rumors that Panthers cornerback Ken Lucas suffered a broken orbital bone and/or broken jaw during a fight with teammate Steve Smith (what did Lucas do, spray champagne on him?), there’s a report that the injuries to Lucas weren’t as bad as initially feared.
Still, the Panthers haven’t said anything about the extent of the harm done to Lucas at the hands of Smith.
Meanwhile, a reader has tipped us off to a new video game that will feature Steve Smith. (Maybe Jim Brown will be included in the game as well.)

Smith better not be suspended for any games. The NFL is a business and the main objective is to win games, not to teach life lessons. Almost all the Carolina Panther fans do not want him suspened for any length of time. They pay thier money to watch this team win games. Not to discipline players. Think of the season ticket holders before you start talking about suspensions for a training camp fight.

Steve Smith is the best wideout on the Panthers, so it’s unlikely he’ll face a suspension. That was a cheapshot! He should be suspended for at least a game.
He won’t be though, why? He’s thier best player by far!
Let’s see the rightious fans of the NFL have to say about this?

How much do you need to know about a guy to realize that he’s a sucker-punching panty waist that’s not man enough to face another man face-to-belt-buckle and hit him? Jeez I can understand having personal issues with another guy and I can even understand fighting but jeez, grow a pair and leave the sucker-punching at home with the wife’s lacey slips and pink pumps. If you like to fight you can’t be afraid of getting your ass whipped. If I’m Ken Lucas I’m looking for Smith’s Lilliputian ass after my nose grows back.
