Cardinals reciever Anquan Boldin will undergo a precautionary MRI on Friday morning to gauge the extent of a hamstring injury that has been bothering him in training camp.

“Everything seems OK except when he really opens it up,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said Thursday.  “We’re going to get him checked out with an MRI just to make sure there’s nothing going on in there that we don’t know about.  But I think it’s getting closer and hopefully by this weekend we’ll be able to really test it out.”

Boldin has recently said that he plans to leave the Cardinals after his current contract expires.  He is signed through the 2010 season.
