The Dolphins aren’t tackling in team drills.
TEs Aaron Halterman and Justin Peelle and OT Darren Heerspink spent yesterday’s practice on exercise bikes.
Says coach Tony Sparano about possibly acquiring WR Terry Glenn, ”I’ve had him for four or five years down there in Dallas, so I know the guy. But I don’t know about him right now.”
Sparano adds that the Dolphins are turning over “every rock” to try to improve the roster.
One local columnist says signing Glenn would make no sense.
But the Dolphins’ current receivers say they’d like to have him as a teammate.
Says DT Jason Ferguson, “He’s one of the best players I’ve seen play. Terry Glenn is guy who’s going to come in here and make an instant impact.“
Sparano wants the team to be ready for “special situations,” like having to take an intentional safety.
Miami cut undrafted rookie CB Scorpio Babers and signed former Jaguars CB Chris Roberson.
WR Ted Ginn knows he has to prove himself.

I’m sure the Fins are preparing for plenty of “intentional interceptions” to go along with their “intentional safeties”, and “intentional losses”

The local sports columnist who against the Glenn signing is the hated Armando Salguero. He constantly bashes the Phins in the paper and jumps at any opportunity to write something negative. What’s funny is that he advocated the Phins go out and sign a player like Glenn a few days before writing this article.

I am NOT a Phins fan, but Miami had a coach that did not know the different bewteen his as# and his face (Cam Cameron)he was so lost that he was moving players all around. They lost six games by 3 points??? that is bad choaching, they had like 10 of there top players out for the year.Cameron draft Ted Ginn in the first round and to me that was a the only good move made by C.Cameron, T.Ginn will be one of the top wr in NFL, HE IS fast and with B.Parcell, Ginn will learn to be one.
But now they will play hard football, you see, they will be back, give them 1 more year ! Parcell will get a QB, and Henne will be a great QB by the end of next year. Look for Miami to play hard in November 2008. The Phins are a fundamental team and all fundamental teams get better and better as the season goes along.
THEY WILL BE WELL COACHED, AND THEY WONT BEAT THEM SELVES.
