Anquan Boldin didn’t practice Monday with a strained hamstring but the injury isn’t considered serious.
When asked about who the starting quarterback will be this year, Kurt Warner said, “From what I’ve been told, it’s a competition.”
Edgerrin James isn’t worried about slowing down once he turns 30: “That’s like a cliche now. I don’t think that applies to me, because after all I’ve done and the way I take care of my body, I’m not even concerned with that. I see some guys who haven’t even played as long as I’ve played, they’re missing practices and not able to play every game.”
Monty Beisel is pain-free after undergoing surgery for a piece of disk that had broken off and rested on his sciatic nerve. He’ll begin practicing in a few weeks.
Adrian Wilson isn’t talking to reporters except to tell them he’s not going to talk to them.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie had an up-and-down practice yesterday, returning two interceptions for would-be touchdowns and then getting lit-up for a score by Sean Morey.

I’m not sold on Leinert getting it done. He doesn’t throw the prettiest ball. Warner should stay warm if he doesn’t win the job outright.
