Pro Bowl S Troy Polamalu is on the PUP list with a hamstring.

Ditto for G Chris Kemoeatu, who has a triceps problem.

DT Casey Hampton was placed on PUP because he failed the conditioning test, likely because he has aced a few too many marinating tests.

Says coach Mike Tomlin of Hampton’s situation:  “Hopefully, it doesn’t [take him long] but I’m sure he won’t wake up tomorrow and be ready to go.  He has to go through a process and we’ve got to take him through that process.  We’ll just live day to day with it until he’s at an acceptable level of conditioning and weight.” 

Hampton didn’t have much of a defense for his lack of conditioning:  “I had some things going on at the crib.  I had to take care of some family stuff.  I did a little running and stuff like that on my own.”

WR Santonio Holmes isn’t worried about the ownership challenges.
