Though it took longer than usual to get the first-round signings ball rolling, the thing lately has been rolling like a smooth boulder on polished wood.

As of now, the unsigned first-rounders are Saints defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (No. 7), Jaguars defensive end Derrick Harvey (No. 8), Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers (No. 9), Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin (No. 11), and Titans running back Chris Johnson (No. 24).

Saints G.M. Mickey Loomis recently said that the Ellis holdout could be lengthy.  (Then again, Loomis said the same thing about second-round cornerback Tracey Porter, and Porter signed on Friday.)
