Though they both missed a day of training camp, their holdouts didn’t last long.
Cornerback Mike Jenkins and running back Felix Jones, the Dallas Cowboys’ first-round picks in 2008, agreed to terms on Friday night.
Coach Wade Phillips wasn’t troubled by the absence of the two rookies. “These days, especially these guys who went to the OTAs and minicamp, that’s basically the first 15 days that we do in training camp,” Phillips said. “It’s good to repeat it. But they missed a real basic day today, that’s what they missed.”
With Terry Glenn soon to be released, Felix Jones might be used in the slot from time to time, along with cornerback Adam Jones, who was the first player on the field for Friday’s practice.

So do the Dolphins pick up Glenn now?

Sean, I don’t think any team (especially a non-contender like the Dolphins) wants to take a chance on Glenn who, - until he has microfracture surgery - will be permanently day to day. If any team does sign him it will probably be the Cowboys. Jerry Jones has left the door open to resigning him before the end of the preseason.
Back on topic, it is fantastic that we have Jones and Jenkins signed. I think both will have an impact this year. It’s an exciting time to be a Cowboys fan.

I think the fact that Parcells loves Glenn ALONE render the Dolphins a possible candidate. Then add in the fact that they could use someone to mirror Ginn. They won’t need to pay him that much.

If not Miami, then maybe the Chargers pick him up. Not that Phylis Rivers can hit a streaking WR.
