LT Jared Gaither was carted off the field on Saturday with an ankle injury.

CB Chris McAlister and CB Fabian Washington opened camp on the non-football injury list.

CB Samari Rolle was absent due to the recent death of his father.

LB Ray Lewis didn’t want to talk about next year, when he could be with a team other than the Ravens; “I just had a hard day of camp, I’m sweating, I’m tired, and you want me to talk about next year?” he said.

With LB Terrell Suggs holding out, Edgar Jones and Antwan Barnes are getting the reps.

Defensive coordinator Rex Ryan wonders whether Suggs’ absence will affect his preparation for the season.  “Does it hurt him?  That’s what you’re always worrying about,” Ryan said.  “I know he’s working out, but there’s nothing like football shape.”

More than 6,600 fans welcomed the Ravens back to camp.

The team debuted in full pads, for the first time in a long time.

QB Kyle Boller might have won round one of the quarterback battle.

For Saturday morning’s practice, the team simulated game conditions.  (So, like, did the scoreboard show a team other than the Ravens as having more points?)

For the Ravens’ Monday night game at Pittsburgh on September 29, ESPN taped a segment for a new feature called “For Love Or The Game,” where a player’s wife and a player’s teammate find out who knows more about the player.
