A league source tells us that the Oakland Raiders will be releasing running back LaMont Jordan on Friday.
The Raiders previously had told Jordan not to report for training camp, but had not traded nor released him.
Jordan planned to file a grievance, but the Raiders finally caved. And so the veteran tailback will join the growing list of veteran tailbacks who are looking for work.

He’ll get picked up long before Shawn Alexander. The Bengals, among others, are now pretty thin at RB?

He would look good in orange and brown backing up Jamal.

Unlike other vets still on the market, Jordan hasn’t had as much wear and tear, and he’s proven to be solid contributor. He won’t be out of work long.

Angelo should bring him in for a look see. Jones the running back doesn’t look in that good shape to start the season. Lamont jordan could be worth a look on the filed for the Bears. Jones legs was iced down in a ice pack with a very severe limp and he was in bad shape at the training camp today! Not good!
FYI to BEARS FANS : Get another running back in camp.

Another example of Alibi Al Davis’ legendary talent evaluation skills. Every year the Raiders seem to “win” the offseason, and every year they suck in the real season.
This year’s crop of overpaid stiffs will disappoint Raider’s fans once again.
