Former Vikings defensive end Darrion Scott will be sentenced on Thursday afternoon on a guilty plea to child endangerment.
Scott admitted to placing a plastic bag over his two-year-old son’s head. He then offered up a piss-poor explanation for why he did what he did.
Scott is a free agent. It might be the only thing “free” about him after today.

I also heard that TO ran in and helped the boy up, offered emotional support, and cleaned the kid’s room…

Put him and McKinnie in a dark room with a metal pole and some dry-cleaning bags and see what happens.

As a Vikings fan, I was hopeful that the team would resign him as he was a solid contributer and provided great depth. However I am glad these reports came out before the Vikings had a chance to resign him. He probably won’t play in the NFL again.

I too am a Vikings fan and was a little dissapointed that he was let go. That was before the incident with the child endangerment. Sounds more like flagrant child abuse to me. The only consolation is that his time in prison will probably not be fun, as those who harm children are considered the lowest of the low, and are cannon fodder for the rest of the inmate population. I would hope that this man is able to get his act together at some point in the future. I am certain that his NFL career is over.

Good luck in prison Scott. I don’t think the inmates will be hip to the idea of playing boogeyman, but they’ll warm up to another game, buggeryman.

He should have no trouble in prison, after playing for the BIQUEENS he is plenty use to the idea of bending over and grabbing his ankles for the big boys on the block to have their way.
What a punk
