Back in June, Newsday sent a few kids to interview then-Giant Jeremy Shockey. And while he didn’t reach previously established extremes — screaming at the youngsters as he did to Giants GM Jerry Reese — he found a slightly more subtle way of voicing his displeasure, and issued a warning along with it
“If the team trades me, I promise you I’m going to make them pay,” Shockey said. “If I ever get a chance to play against a team that trades me, it’s not going to be a pretty sight.” That’s not the subtle part.
Earlier, when asked what team he would have wanted to draft him if not the Giants (what a loaded — and awesome — question considering the circumstances; someone get that kid a job at the New York Post), Shockey responded “the New Orleans Saints.” Right. Because who wasn’t clamoring to catch passes from Aaron Brooks in those days?
Unfortunately, the Giants and Saints aren’t scheduled to meet this year, unless it’s in the postseason. But in 2009, Big Blue will head to New Orleans. Pencil that one in for primetime already.

When the Giants visit the Saints next year, Shockey will be out for the season with a dislocated tongue. Shockey talks too much trash!

… that Jints game could be prime time if he is still with the team — there is no assurance that will be the case given his temper. I believe the ‘aints overpaid here.

and why are we penciling this in for primetime TOM? This guys been talking trash about teams he plays against since the beginning of time. He talked about the eagles countless times and we kicked his ass all over the field each time we played him. He’s a big mouth who dosnt produce, especially in primetime. Giants fans are probably happy to get rid of him. It sucks for me really, now we gotta play against Kevin Boss twice a year ad he seems like a togh mofo, when w had bigmouth fatboy talkin trash twice a year and taking himself out of games.

when he does play them, the Giants will probably
stuff him every play, and then let him catch a ball,
and have 2 or 3 defenders sandwich him until he
breaks another bone in his body, and then the saints
win more games without him, win a superbowl, and trade him
to another team where this cycle will continue…

Pencil it in? Maybe they can show it on MNF with that Sterno Bum Kornheiser. Do you think anyone really cares about Shockey and the Giants? Yeah, buddy, the “revenge game.” That will be a slugfest, won’t it? I bet Shockey tries to win that one. I bet the Giants try hard, too. Neither team will make the playoffs this year. By this time next year, Eli will be back on the s-list, Coughlin will be rumored to be considering retirement, Reggie Bush will be on a reality show, and the Saints defense will continue to be known for having the sturdiness of a wet papertowel.

Like I said before, I look forward to Justin Tuck ripping Shockey a new one some time in the future. Wasn’t Shockey the one that wanted to be traded after the SB?

It dosen’t matter where Jeremy Shockey plays, he is the most overrated Tight End in football. He will make very little impact on a team. His big mouth will make the most impact!

LOL! Odds are, he’ll be injured and will never play against the Giants. If he somehow does manage to play, he’ll drop at least 3 passes, yell at his quarterback, get a personal foul called against him, and sulk on the sidelines.
I can’t wait for his “revenge.” ROFL!!!!

I think it’s funny that a tight end can vow revenge at all. Even the best tight ends usually only REALLY light it up 4-5 times a season. Not to mention the Giants missed this douche roughly ummmm, not at all, when he went down. This fool knows it was addition by subtraction when he got hurt last year, and is running his mouth because he knows it’s the last glimmer of the spotlight he will catch before he dwindles into obscurity like so many other mothy selfish punks.
Shockey was the third best TE in the NFC east, and NY didn’t need him. He could learn a thing or two about your role from Witten and Cooley.

Yeah, the league should definitely schedule a prime-time game featuring a TIGHT END going up against his old team. Are you serious?…As far as his “revenge” is concerned, if I were a DB, I would be scared that Shockey will spike the ball at my head after he makes a 6 yard reception at midfield.
