Colts coach Tony Dungy says wide receiver Marvin Harrison will report to training camp Friday with no problems, either from the knee injury that wiped out most of his 2007 season or from the shooting in Philadelphia in which his gun was allegedly used.
“I’ve been given reason to think that Marvin’s part of it will not be anything that will come up for us during the year,” Dungy said of the shooting.
Police have said Harrison is not suspected of pulling the trigger, but that his gun was used. It’s still not clear who did fire the gun, but a man was hit and a boy was injured by broken glass. (Since Senator Arlen Specter has so much free time on his hands, maybe he should conduct an investigation into why people are getting shot on the streets in his state’s largest city and the police department can’t do anything about it.)
As for the knee, Dungy says it’s going to be fine.
“He’s been running and feeling good and everybody, including Marvin, is really enthused and optimistic about how that’s gone,” Dungy said.

This whole Harrison thing is so fishy.. How has Dungy already been given assurance that he won’t be charged with anything? I guess he’s friends with Arlen. That case will never be solved.

It should be pretty obvious why the police can’t do anything - no cooperating witnesses.

Doesn’t matter. Harrison isn’t their no. 1 reciever anymore anyway.

Yea!!!!!!!! That “no snitching” campaign in the Philly is working great. I mean who wants gun-toting criminals behind bars anyway? Its not like the murder rate is up? It’s not like 7 people were shot in 7 different events 2 nights ago…

Apparently paralysis is what’s needed to make a shooting offense a big deal to the NFL.
Aim for the limbs, fellas!

Tony Dungy checked the Ten Commandments, and there was nothing specific about this case, so he put in a personal call to God. Sure enough, if you shoot someone and no one snitches, it’s not a sin. Isn’t it nice to have The Creator on your side. Keepin’ it real God-boy.

florio, philly is a little different than wheeling, wv. I know you’re not used to big cities, but believe it or not, sometimes crimes don’t get solved, especially when no one cooperates. Welcome to the real world.

‘“He’s been running and feeling good and everybody, including Marvin, is really enthused and optimistic about how that’s gone,” Dungy said.’
Unfortunately, the question was about Harrison’s involvement in a shooting and whether he’s cooperated with police.

The witnesses in the case would rather get paid, as opposed to seeing Harrison go to jail. What should the police focus on? The hundreds of unsolved murders and rapes or a non-fatal shooting with no cooperating witnesses?

How much did it cost Harrison? Harrison should remember that what goes around comes around. Where is the Senator from PA in all He hasn’t said one word. If it was another football player I’m sure the Senator would want an investigation.
