The Chiefs set themselves up with the work of a yeoman in getting all the draft picks they acquired under contract before camp, but with players scheduled to arrive Thursday they’ve got nine of their 12 picks signed.

The latest is cornerback Brandon Flowers. The 35th overall pick signed a four-year deal today.

Flowers decided to leave Virginia Tech as a junior after a second-straight All-America selection. In 2007, he had 5 interceptions and a touchdown. He’s expected to be an immediate contributor and large part of the Chiefs’ youth movement.
