A league source tells PFT that the deal first-round draft pick Kenny Phillips has signed with the New York Giants is a five-year contract worth $11.15 million.
The Giants hope Phillips, a safety from the University of Miami, is able to earn a starting job in training camp. He also has the potential to be an immediate contributor on special teams.
Phillips was a three-year starter at Miami and left with a year of eligibility remaining.
