Tight end is the biggest question mark for the Bills; Robert Royal is at the top of the chart, but the job is wide open.

Dallas should worry about winning a playoff game this decade before they start worrying about the Superbowl.

Your cute little wiseacre comment about the Texans goal of going to the playoffs being “much more admirable … than, say, not making the playoffs” belies the ugly fact that this is the first year in their 7 year existence that the Texans can legitimately and realistically set that goal. The fact that it only took two seasons for Rick Smith and Gary Kubiak to rescue a franchise that Charley Casserly had almost single handedly driven into the ground is what’s nothing short of admirable.

“Colts WR Reggie Wayne wouldn’t talk about Peyton Manning or Marvin Harrison at a celebrity basketball game for charity.”
What the hell??? The news here isn’t that Wayne wouldn’t talk, the news is that he and Sanders were playing basketball right before the start of the season. How do they let them risk rolling an ankle right before training camp opens?

“Big Sexy recognizes that the Chiefs won’t be very good this year.”
I always like a Jason Whitlock article, but I didn’t know he is the New “Big Sexy.” When did he become the new Big Sexy?
And here’s another question for you guys, too.
I know Herm Edwards is Mr. Personality of the NFL Coaching ranks, but is he ever going to lead a team to a steady stream of winning seasons and playoff appearances?
Sorry Herm. Tough question, but I’m starting to wonder…

“Despite their Super Bowl win, the Giants have a chip on their shoulders”
Hey Mr. Mike,
Those are potato chips, left over from all the banquet tables the Giants have visited this summer!
(I hope they are fat, dumb and complacent going into training camp…)

“Broncos safety John Lynch had to compete for a starting job this year.”
Hey Mr. Mike,
The only problem now is that Lynch is competing with Father Time in his case. And to quote a reliable source “Father Time Always Wins…!”
The Broncos are in transition at a lot of positions and safety is only one of the many. The QB, Running Back and Wide Receiver positions will also bear watching in Devnver.

I have always loved the Steelers, but reading the article about the Rooney’s ties to dog racing is making me sick. I’m not a “Peta” guy, or anything like that, but all you have to do is google “Greyhoud racing, death” and you realize how wrong it is. There are sites listed that are very graphic and if you love dogs, can almost bring you to tears. Don’t do it if you have a weak stomach.
I’m just hoping that Dan can get control and separate him and the Steelers from dog racing all together. As bad as the NFL went after Michael Vick, dog racing isn’t much better than dog fighting. It still win or die for the dogs. And love outside the track(or fighting ring), isn’t much better.
There is a reason it’s banned in 34 states. I’m ashamed to live in one that it’s not.
