The Redskins have agreed to terms with tight end Fred Davis, one of their three second-round picks in the 2008 draft.
He’s the last of 10 draft selections to agree to terms.
Davis was the 48th overall choice in the draft. He made unwanted headlines in May by missing a minicamp practice.
He supposedly pulled a Jean Paul Jean Paul, oversleeping for the session.
Davis hold the USC record for receptions by a tight end, with 117. His selection seemed unusual at the time (and still does), given the presence of veteran Chris Cooley.

Cooley may have contract negotiations coming up or maybe the West Coast offense utilizes 2 TE sets.

cooley signed a 6 year extension before the 07 season kicked off.
The skins just wanted the ability to run a good 2 TE set,and Davis should be an excellent backup option should cooley ever get hurt. without davis todd yoder would be the #1 and that would be laughable.
