In a recent visit to the studios of Sirius NFL Radio, receiver Plaxico Burress made an impression.
Though not quite as audacious as, say, pooping in a hamper, Burress defaced an expensive leather chair that celebrates the Patriots’ three Super Bowl wins.
Specifically, Burress left his John Hancock on the white leather portion of the backrest, with the inscription “XLII Champs!”
Here’s the photographic evidence.
Maybe the Pats’ rallying cry for 2008 will now be, “We must protect this seat!”

I used to work as a teller in a poor, crime ridden, dead Rust Belt town. The only time you ever heard about it in the rest of the state is when they’d find someone’s torso on the railroad tracks or yet another company had closed its doors.
Occasionally, we’d have illiterate people come in and “make their mark” as well, which would invariably result in 30 minutes of paperwork to document their identity.
So, what you’re saying here is that Plaxico is illiterate? Why, he’s a college man! I’m shocked! Shocked and dismayed!

You know, it’s low class but I’m not expecting any less from Plaxico. For some reason this doesn’t bother me all that much…
All last season teams and their fans where whining about the Patriots running up the score. Most pathetic fans couldn’t grasp the point that the best way not to see the score run up is to stop the other team’s offense.
The Giants won - Plaxico shames himself, his team, and his fans by responding like this - but the bottom line is, if the Patriots want to stop that sort of thing, all they have to do is win.
Very few fans of other teams will undertand this mindset, as they continue to argue with the NFL about the tuck rule or seem to think a team is cheating in 2001 because they violated a 2006 rule, but if the Patriots want to stop guys like Burress from being A-holes, all they have to do is pummell them into the ground, and blow them out by 30 points like they should.

Why don’t Pats fans get that it isn’t jealousy? It’s contempt for a team that has been cheating for years, a team that refuses to admit what everyone knows–their Super Bowl wins are tainted.

I guess his mommy didn’t pay enough attention to him as a child, so this is his way of getting people to notice him. Kind of similar to the douche bags on a Harley who sit at stop lights revving their boat anchors praying that someone will notice them. If they think their bike is so great, why is it they have to keep revving them up so they wont stall out on them?
