In a recent visit to the studios of Sirius NFL Radio, receiver Plaxico Burress made an impression.
Though not quite as audacious as, say, pooping in a hamper, Burress defaced an expensive leather chair that celebrates the Patriots’ three Super Bowl wins.
Specifically, Burress left his John Hancock on the white leather portion of the backrest, with the inscription “XLII Champs!”
Here’s the photographic evidence.
Maybe the Pats’ rallying cry for 2008 will now be, “We must protect this seat!”

That slamming sound was 1/2 football on helmet, and 1/2 Lombari door slamming… Gig’s up, Pats* fan. The spread is flawed, and will be punished this year. Watching Brady* panic under pressure is better than watching midget porn.
The legacy is tainted, and the dream is over for you. You were whiny losers (for decades) and whinier winners, and the world is tired of listening to you. Now go chill in the corner with Barry Bonds, Tanya Harding, Euro Cyclists and the rest of the entitled, selfish cheaters!

Any Pats fans who don’t laugh at this have about the same sense of humor as Bill Belichek….not much. Football is a game, it was a joke, get over it and stop whining! Also, any reasonable Pats fan..(there may actually be one out there), knows that the Giants flat out whipped the Pats who were lucky to even be in the game late as one sided as it was.

What the hell does calling you out for making a baseball(yawn) reference have to do with being a racist and homophobic. Making a comment that happens to be slightly exaggerated but true hardly confirms me to be neither homophobic or a racist. I can’t even pronounce more than half of the names of people who play baseball. My God, what a bunch of tee hugging liberals. God forbid someone has an opinion. Let’s not offend anyone now.

@ east96st Take you’re asterisks and shove them with great vigor up your ***! The Gints win a SB every 20 years…. I don’t care what anyone thinks from NY. You guys filleted Eli, hell the media wanted to ride himout on a rail! Weak! The Gints played the Pats 3 times last year and won once….So stop beating your chest. They squeked out a 3 point victory on a miracle catch. The Gints were very lucky to win that game, so how about a little prospective! The Patriots had an undefeated season 16-0… BB has improved team speed and youth at CB and LB…The D ran out of gas with a 4 point lead with a couple of minutes left in the game. So, we’ll meet again and I for one can’t wait!!!!! The Pats are in the hunt every year but 2002, in the playoffs 01, 03, 04. 05, 06 and 07. 15-3 playoff record! Are you dumb enough to believe that a semi-useless video tape made that much of a differince? Unbelievable, NY fans… I’m sure BP is very proud! Why did the Jets owner say BB was nuts because he didn’t want the Jet job? Hell, if Mangini knew what he was getting into, he’d still be the D coor. for the Pats. Hey I’ll give the Gints credit they were better on that day! They won! They deserve it. If you think that will continue and you’ll win the division and repeat as did the Pats in 03,04? Guess again! Oh by the way good luck this season….

mlj, ummm did you actually watch that game? No seriously, because as I recall the Giants didn’t have a touchdown going into halftime. It wasn’t one sided- it was a defensive struggle, and the patriots got a touchdown when they needed one, unfortunantly they left too much time on the clock. The Patriots weren’t lucky to be in that game any more then the Giants were. They just played better on that given day. I’ve got to give the Giants some respect, but clearly your memory of that game is a little clouded by your oversized new york ego. And yes, this is rather classless, i’d rather a player that revels in his own teams victory then in anothers defeat. As supposedly classless as the Patriots are, I’ve never seen or heard them do anything this unclassy. Simple as that.

The Giants truely proved that “any given sunday” quote, but unfortunantly I really don’t think they are going to come close to repeating. I look forward to the next thumping the Dallas defense lays on Plexiglass. Wow, and I’m a Pats fan.
