As a Giants fan, on the occasions that I listen to the game on the radio (I usually watch it on tv or attend the game) I can objectively say that Bob Papa is a very good, knowledgeable play by play guy. He doesn't provide annoying shtick like Joe Buck and he's articulate. He's also not afraid to question coaching decisions or criticize players, either. Further, he won't burp on the air and blame it on the microphone. I think you guys (well, those of you that actually get the network) will like him. So Gumbel turns over the gig to Papa “on downs”?
