A couple of updates to the story from earlier today about the McCown family wood chopping adventure gone horribly wrong.

The first update is that Josh McCown was injured by a chainsaw, not an ax as stated earlier. I’m not sure whether holding a piece of wood while your brother cuts it with a chainsaw is a better or worse idea than if he’s cutting with an ax but there you have it.

More importantly for the Dolphins, McCown says that the injury was so minor that he was playing catch with brother Luke in the hospital parking lot. “It was sore to touch for five or six days,” McCown said of his injured finger. “But now it’s back to normal.” Assuming the family doesn’t need to build any fires in the next 10 days, he’s all systems go for the start of Dolphin camp.
