"The Titans historically have not broken the bank for anyone"

Actually they have. They had to release most of the players in your list because the team landed in cap hell for a few years. Don't you remember they had the youngest team (by average age) for like 3 years running. That was because they cut or released all of their veterans because they couldn't afford them.

This guy will stop being productive the second he gets his big payday. I'd tag him this season and next, and if he is able to keep it up for three years (including last year) then talk about a payday.

VYera10 Good call. So true, it's always what are we going to do without so and so but look at the way most of them turn out; underachievers with big paydays. Then when there new team won't sign them again to big money they come back for less and are productive again. If Albert has a healthly year we will pull the trigger on a big deal but making him prove he's worth it for one more year is not a bad play. Kotite your the idiot

That D line is playing two yards off the line when he's not there. This new GM is an idiot.

Depends, if he can stay healthy and continue to produce numbers like he did last season, we will keep him. Great numbers not being as big a deal as playing 16 games. Just having him line-up makes a world of difference. The Titans historically have not broken the bank for anyone, and they have been very smart in doing that because when guys who do great with us leave, they underachieve on their new teams. i.e. Kearse, Bobby Wade, Drew Bennett, Travis Henry, Robaire Smith, Kevin Carter, Samari Rolle, Derrick Mason. The list is very long. I think the deal will get done, he means a great deal to that defense's success and the team is very focused on trying to keep the good group core players around.
