Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw has been released from the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail, the Newark Star-Ledger is reporting.
It was reported last month that Bradshaw was serving a 30-day jail sentence for a probation violation, but it still has not been explained publicly what that probation violation was. The Giants have said only that it stemmed from an incident dating to before the Giants drafted him in April of 2007. Bradshaw’s lawyer would not be specific other than to say his client has not been charged with any offense since being drafted.
As a college player, Bradshaw had multiple run-ins with the law. He got kicked off the team at Virginia following an underage drinking arrest, and he pleaded guilty to petty larceny at Marshall.
Bradshaw is expected to report to training camp next week with the rest of the team. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the Star-Ledger that whether or not Bradshaw has violated the league’s personal-conduct policy is “under review.”

This is an interesting story to follow (at least for Giants fans). I hope the incident was before he was a pro and that he’s matured since then.

no one’s talking due to privacy issues, but i would bet
a dollar everything that has happened with mr.bradshaw
was known before his drafting.knowing how conservative
the giants are,i don’t think they made a move without a wink
or a nod from the commissioner’s office.the giants are a
highly risk adverse organization.
