A rally outside Lambeau Field today attracted about 200 fans urging the Packers to welcome Brett Favre back as the team’s starting quarterback.
The rally was organized by a pair of brothers, Adam and Erick Rolfson, who started a Web site, BringBackBrettFavre.com, designed to put pressure on the team to allow Favre to un-retire. They say they will rally every Sunday until the team reinstates Favre.
“We want all Packer fans’ voices heard,” Adam Rolfson said. “The best decision for this organization is to start Brett Favre. He’s our best chance to the go the Super Bowl.”
An unscientific poll at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel web site shows Packers fans about evenly split between those who want Favre to return to the Packers and those who want him to retire.

As far as the rally goes, this is a community-owned team. According to Wikipedia, “As of June 8, 2005, 112,015 people (representing 4,750,934 shares) can lay claim to a franchise ownership interest”.
Why isn’t the organization reaching out to the community? They’ve chosen a side but have not made an effort to measure the opposition among their fans.
For those that want Brett to start, let’s see if a petition will make them, at least, reconsider.
The Petition is online at: LetFavrePlay.com (http://letfavreplay.com)
