Former Browns center LeCharles Bentley, who was released upon his request one day after passing a physical, has yet to land with a new team.
But agent Jonathan Feinsod tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer that there is “a lot of interest” in the former Pro Bowler, who hasn’t played in two seasons due to a torn patellar tendon and the staph infection that ravaged its replacement.
“We’re sifting through different offers, taking our time and going from there,” Feinsod said.
On unnamed NFL personnel exec says that Bentley will eventually find a football home. “He’s among a lot of guys who are one injury away from being in big demand,” the source told the Plain Dealer.

Just curious, how much coin did he pocket for never even playing a down with the Browns?

I am not the best on contracts but I did pull this from an old ESPN article
“Bentley’s contract is for six years at $36 million, and includes $12.5 million in guarantees.”

It must be tough sifting through two pieces of paper. You definitely want to take your time as well. Considering training camps start in roughly one week, you really don’t want to give yourself enough time to be ready for the start of one. Ya know, considering you haven’t played in two years and all.

Ok Rumor mill, what are the teams that are interested. I read another article that has up to 10 teams looking at him. How serious are they and what teams are they?

whocanitbenow & brianforster,
I’m not 100% sure on the exact number, but I do know that the team restructured his deal last year and in the end he ended up pocketing about 16 million dollars.
