We’ve spotlighted a number of children’s football camps hosted by NFL players this summer, but one of the most interesting is the camp that Chiefs wide receiver Devard Darling is hosting in his native Bahamas.

Darling, who grew up in the Bahamas before attending high school in Texas, is hosting camps in Nassau and Freeport, the two largest cities in the Bahamas. The camp is called the Devard and Devaughn Darling Summer Football Camp, named for Devard and his identical twin brother, who died during a 2001 workout at Florida State.

“We strive to make a difference in the lives of each of the young people that attend our camps and help them realize that their dreams are possible,” Darling said.

Darling intends to identify talented young men who could earn football scholarships to American schools, and he’s going to choose a camp MVP who will get a trip to a Chiefs game this season.
