Fox 31 in Denver is reporting that Travis Henry has failed another drug test.
According to the report, Henry tested positive for marijuana.
As a repeat offender in the league’s substance-abuse program, Henry is subject to a one-year suspension from the NFL. This is not the first time Henry has faced a one-year suspension for a positive test; last year he was about to be suspended for a year before he successfully appealed a positive test.
Henry carried 167 times for 691 yards last season for the Broncos. The Broncos cut him in June and he has not signed on with a new team.

really this is a shame, we all know the guy has 9 different kids with 9 different mom’s or whatever the number is. and we all kind of laughed at that but thought, well look the guy has a hard on and millions of dollars, his kids will be fine.
but now he doesn’t and I don’t know what the cost of 9 kids is, especially to 9 different mothers, but I fear the cost of 1 with 1 mother that made the mistake of sleeping in my bed. Hopefully this doesn’t destroy the future of those kids.

Henry’s lawyers reportedly are going to get him off on the loophold that the NFL as an institution is to blame for failing to properly explain to NFL players that when it comes to drug tests, Positive is Bad and Negative is Good.

Why doesn’t the NFL go the way of the NBA and just not punish players for smoking pot? It would keep them from having to address all of these problems and save a bunch of bad press.

Wait. Didn’t Antonio Bryant win a case just last year for not being subject to drug tests if he isn’t currently with an NFL team? If this newest positive is a recent test (ie-since being released), doesn’t he fall under the same ruling?

i feel like a savant, its like i saw this all in a dream….. wait, no, that was the 11oclock news last year and a couple years before that. Wow what a coincidence, he just happened to test positive for high levels of second-hand dope in his system, again.
Luckily he purchased one of the old lie detectors from the Denver police station that was being auctioned off on ebay last week. So now he wont get falsely convicted/suspended and he’ll still have a good chance to get signed as a starter for a contender and make a mint on his next paycheck. He’s a good citizen & upstanding father & i for one cannot wait for him to beat this bogus rap, the cream always rises to the top, he’ll be alright. ([{END SARCASM}])

Notice how everyone is down on Henry, but what about Shanarat?
Worse would have been if Denver would have made the playoffs, but I can’t get over how the “Lie Detector” test from the Broncos and an appeal got his guy off. No one ever gets off for drug test failures, but somehow Denver does. And now we know it was a real fail on the test. But no one blames Denver? Oh, wait, no one really noticed much when they circumvented the Salary cap to get their Super Bowls either.
But I’m not bitter..

Don’t apologize for Henry. If somebody pays you millions of dollars a year for your services, they got a right to put a few conditions (OF THEIR CHOOSING!!!!) on the deal.
Marijuana is illegal. You can break the law if you want, but you can’t be a law breaker and make it in the NFL. Canabis included.
He can try out for another sport if he wants to… Or he can go be a bouncer at a nightclub. He can recycle soda pop bottles. Or he can keep it together and play football. It’s up to Travis…
