It’s really nice to finally see people realizing that Ricky Williams doesn’t belong on a turd list anymore, that his turd-esque mistakes are so far in the past, and that he’s grown so much since then. Heck, maybe people are even starting to realize that he’s more of a “good guy” than most players in the NFL.
I tip my hat to him for all his hard work in overcoming the internal and external adversity he’s faced.
I’d like to think people realize his suspension due to his homeopathic medicine studies was a pretty random mistake, and came from a desire to learn, not cheat. Too bad the NFL didn’t trust him enough to see that before they booted him for a year. But i think what’s more the case is that people are more focused on the turds who always say it’s not their fault… which Ricky didn’t do. He took his suspension like a man and accepted the blame.
he really is a great role model, because very rarely do we see people learn from mistakes as well as Ricky has. he’s a non-judgmental cat, and it’s good to see that he’s well into the process of escaping judgment from the media.

@obscenery - I think he belongs on the perpetual turd list for abandoning his team a week before camp started. But that’s me. And as far as his “desire to learn”, he’s a moron. He was already in the substance abuse program, he’s getting paid a lot of money to stay on the field. He was warned, fined, suspended, suspended further. He belongs on this list every year. Fortunantly for him, there were a few more people that were more deserving.

Philip Rivers? He gets caught on camera doing what every player does and that earns him a spot? You guys must be stupid. He backed up his talk. In every game he opened his mouth. Its just colts fans bitching cuz the bolts waxed their asses. In that case, Tom Brady should get a spot for being a little Bitch and for too much negative media attention, also, because its a crime to lead your team to the super bowl undefeated and choke and be the biggest loser in the most massive upset in sports history. Don’t forget Tony Romo as well, he can’t stay off the news. Vince Young should be there. He’s a Huge turd.

You do realize that Ricky Williams was suspended for testing positive for pot, not performance enhancing drugs or homeopathic medicine. Williams openly admits to using marijuana.
William is deserving of the turd list because he repeatedly flunked the drug test for pot and that he has flaked on both teams he played for. His crime is fairly minor in the grande scheme of things, but it is still illegal to do what he did both in the NFL and according to our legal system.
Personally, I think what makes him a turd is the fact he has so much God-given talent and he had an “I don’t give a crap” attitude towards playing football and his teammates (granted I don’t think that qualifies for the Florio All Turd Team). I have no problem with him wanting to follow the route he has followed outside of football, but if you take millions of dollars to play football, you owe it to your team’s owner, coach, fans, and teammates to be dedicated to football. Ricky never did.
Well, off to hit the books! Now where’s my lighter?

BTW, although I think Brett Favre is being an arse with his yearly the world needs to wait with baited breathe whether I am going to play again or not, I don’t think it rises to the point of being in the All Turd team.

Charger fans need to realize that PFT hates the Bolts as much as the Raiders and Colts. All the negative commments about Rivers are coming from Colts fans because they’re mad Rivers talked trash and backed it up… He tore up Indy like no one else has. Don’t forget the Denver Donkeys… I feel bad Jay Cutler has Diabetes but Rivers does what every player does. Talk Trash. He just gets caught on camera doing it. Tom Brady does it. But thats not why he should be on the Turd team. He should be there because he is a little B!tch and gets too much negative media attention. With that note, Tony Romo should have a spot too. Damn sometimes this website is so biased and shady….

I really think you should include Chris Henry’s buddy Odel Thurman on defensive side of the ball after all he is a free agent and been suspended for illegal substances and then got a DUI days before his suspension was due to be up with Henry puking out the window. At least an honorable mention.

This board biased? You could say that…some one already did. Here’s why. Of the 4 teams with over 20 turd points(see turd point standings), only Detroit (who has the most with 30 points) has more than 1 player on the all turd team(3). The Bucs, who have 0 team points, have 4 players?! rotflmao That includes two rookies, one a 7th round pick who may not make the team. None have been arrested in the past year.

THANK YOU for adding Favre. As a lifelong Packers fan, I’m I love Favre, but I’m sick of his antics. He’s hated Ted Thompson since day 1, because Thompson won’t stroke Favre’s ego.
