The odds are against 6th round picks, but at least this guy has his head on straight.

Jerry Jones just can’t stop talking about his collection of underachievers.
This time it’s his position coaches—“a staff with accomplished guys” as he puts it—who accepted defensive line/secondary coaching positions to join the Cowboys after unsuccessful stints as coordinators/headcoaches elswhere.
Right on Mr. Jones!

Spencer Larsen, way to pay attention. That much money in the bank will be earning big bucks in interest and provide a very nice nest egg. It’s good to see a player with a level head, instead of purchasing a $50,000 car with $40,000 of after-market options. Good luck to him.

Jets night at Shea Stadium, on display the Lombardi Trophy from 1969,the last time the JETS even sniffed a Super Bowl, but then again it wasn’t called the Super Bowl back then,it was the World Championship of football. Congratulations Jet fans on 40 years of futility!JETS= Just End The Season, with all the moves the Jets made this off season will put them in cap hell for the coming years.

Great lieutenants don’t always make great generals. That said… I’d say that Dave Campo has had a bit of success in his coaching career. College national championship as a DB coach, two Super Bowl rings in the same capacity, add another one as defensive coordinator.
Todd Grantham was a pretty good DL coach for the Colts and Texans. The Texans D pretty much fell apart when he left to become Romeo Crennel’s DC.

It was called the Super Bowl in 1969, it just wasn’t printed on the ticket. It was on the official logo and rings, though.

“jethro” jones thinks this is the best coaching staff he has ever been associated with? that is without question one of the dumbestass statements to come out hillbilly jone’s mouth. let’s see at one time on that staff was, dave wandstendt, butch davis, norv turner etc. what an asshead, of course if the media here wasn’t such a lapdog to him they might point out some of these idiotic statements he makes, but then again that is everytime he opens his mouth.
btw box, which cheerleader are you? the dumb blonde or brunette?

Funny to hear Jerry Jones elevate a group of guys who haven’t won a damn thing over Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer, and the host of coaches that came out of the 90s Cowboys.
ampats: Before 99 the Pats had exactly 0 championships and the only thing they could be sure of were lots of empty seats in Foxboro Stadium. All though being a Jets fan might be an exercise in futility for the last 40 years at least their fans aren’t jumping on any bandwagons like some people I could think of in New England. I can’t wait for the pendulum to swing back around so we can see Gillette become just as much of a ghost town as Foxboro was in from 1960-1999.
Vox: I would totally prefer my kid met LT over Owens. The former managed to win two Super Bowls under the influence of a crack addiction, while the latter managed to OD on pain pills when he couldn’t hack the rigors of the offseason where he once again won nothing. The former had statistics created for his greatness (see sacks before LT), the latter has led the league in a stat that is used to measure poor play (see drops for TO).

Rev when you want to post something try to get your facts straight so you don’t look stupid. Gillette didnot exist before 2002..There was a stadium next door called Foxboro & before that Schaffer. Before 99 the Pats were AFC Champs in 94 & 86.The Patriots have been sold out since 1994 when Bill Parcells came to town and have been sold out since.

I’m sure it’s the “best collection of assistants”. etc, etc.
But it’s the Head Coach that is the problem. And the QB.
Neither have accomplished a darn thing!!!!

I suppose you expected him to say that it’s not the best coaching staff, Eskin? Defeatist talk is for the last place in the NFCE 5 games out of first place Eagles and their fans. Nice convenient window you got there too, loser. Maybe you and McGagg can conveniently polish all those Super Bowl trophies that very conveniently are not in the Eagles trophy case.
