Appearing on ESPN’s NFL Live yesterday, Colts coach Tony Dungy spoke about the health of two of his injured stars.
Marvin Harrison’s recovery from knee surgery took a step forward when he ran without pain toward the end of the team’s OTAs. Dungy said he felt good about where Harrison would be physically to start the year. He’s also feeling good about the status of the investigation into the April 29 shooting in Philadelphia. “Everything we’ve heard and communicated from the Philadelphia police department, he’s not a suspect in what’s going on there. So again, we feel pretty good about where he’s going to be.”
Dwight Freeney doesn’t sound like he’s quite as far along in his recovery from foot surgery. Doctors have told the coach that Freeney will make a complete return to health. Dungy did admit to having some doubt about the diagnosis. “It’s always kind of scary with a guy like that whose speed is his big asset. He needs to come back full strength, but everything right now indicates that he’s going to do that.”
Neither man is expected to be ready and raring to go when training camp kicks off but the team expects them both to be at full speed on September 7 against the Bears.

Even “if” Harrison and Freeney aren’t 100% come preseason start the Colts 2nd string and draft and fa will more than enough keep them in the running for a SB matchup till Harrison and Freeney are 100%

How is Harrison not a suspect in a shooting on his property, with a rare handgun that was in his possession before and after the incident? You gotta love the power of $$$…

Some of these posters amaze me when it is regard to Harrison.
No where from the beginning of the investigation about the shooting was Harrison ever considered a suspect even by all the reports on the net in the newspapers on TV in police interviews yet you have these Idiot’s that want something to happen just so they can downgrade a Great player.
When the facts are fully known then and only then can anyone judge.

Freeney has a lisc franc fracture. It is optimist to believe he will be ready for the start of the season (not impossible though) and it is also optimistic to think he will recover his speed all that quickly. I expect a down year for Freeney.
The Colts do look to have what might be a tough schedule this year depending on how teams shake out. Jacksonville looks to be improved. This COULD be the year that Colts lose control of the division and injuries may be a part of it.

No, we can judge based upon what has been reported.
This is not a Court of Law, you know.
These are the facts that we can judge from, at this point in time, absent complete fabrication by the Philly PD, which I am not saying is out of the realm of possibility.
1. Marvin Harrison has a gun- a rare gun.
2. He had an altercation with someone at his establishment.
3. That individual was shot or shot at. He and at least one other person were wounded.
4. Marvin Harrison was interviewed the next day.
5. He said he still had the gun at his house. In other words, he claimed to still have possession.
6. The gun was instead found in close proximity to Harrison, apparrently hidden.
7. That gun was determined to have been fired recently.
8. That gun was used in that incident mentioned in 3. above.
So lay off the crap about not judgeing, colt fans.
If most or all of the above is true, that is enough to convict. And I’m a defense attorney, BTW.
Take off the homer glasses for a minute, and tell me how that adds up otherwise.

The Colts win 12-13 games every year under Tony and Peyton and
bomb in the playoffs, year after year. Yes, I know they stole a SB a couple of years ago. But, with that team, ONE SB Appearance is POOR Something. On any other team it would be the coach.

More of the same, Idiot’s making unsubstantial comments.
It’s a good thing there’s not a desire for some law firm to track the IPS on some of the Idiotic comments made on the net in pursuit of defamation of character we all would be in trouble.

If you truly are what you say you are, absent complete fabrication by posters on here, which I am not saying is out of the realm of possibility, then it’s no question why are court system is as bad as it is guilty before all evidence is presented.
You saying your a DA you should know then if they had the goods on him and they were sure they could present it on discovery the man would be behind bars.
Stop the bulls**t and wait sor the true facts instead of what you get off a rumor site or a radio wantabe such as WIP.

I don’t know if Harrison is guilty or not, but if the police have him as a suspect and they aren’t close to making an arrest they probably won’t say that he is a suspect. Say he did it and he was the only suspect, but the police didn’t have enough evidence to make an arrest. What advantage would be gained by saying Harrison is a suspect? Harrison would stop cooperating with the police which wouldn’t exactly help. Harrison and his friends could intimidate witness to not to come forward.
How many times did we hear that Michael Vick wasn’t a suspect and that the police felt he was 100% uninvolved in the dog fighting on his property. How did that work out for Vick?
Again, I have no idea if Harrison is a suspect or not, but the evidence that we know isn’t exactly in his favor. The one thing in his favor is the victim won’t identify his attacker.

That’s okay, Ufan, you won’t have to worry about it coming out further.
They’ve buried it, and it will go quietly into the night.
I doubt quite highly it goes any further.
As far as waiting goes, let me ask you this:
If 1-8 are indeed true, do you think that in and of itself is enough to go to trial?
It is. People get prosecuted on a whole lot less.
Just not that person.
In fact, people get arrested based on 1,7, & 8 above.
Just not that person.

Dont misunderstand if he is guilty then me being a Colts fan doesn’t mean squat. If he is proven in a court of law on any charge, (personally I think he will be charged with a misdemeanor being they said in a police interview that it was his gun that was used and in Philly as you probably know whether he was the shooter or not is a misdemeanor)he should be dealt with to the full extent of the law.

Just because the Colts won a legitimate SB that’s a great reason to hate em. All you Patties will forever have “tainted super bowl” victories. NO ifs ands or buts. Let the love flow. 18 and ouch. The biggest flop in super bowl history just one year after the biggest 2nd half let down in Championship history. Karma. No class. Let the love flow.
