Even if Favre came back and lost another playoff game, the experience would only add to Aarons value come contract time. Much better than Alex Smith or David Carr ae looking at on second deals. You guys act like he's been out of the league for 5 years and is trying to come back. He only announced retirement a few months ago so it's not like he's going to have a to shake off a lot of ring rust. Be realistic....all he's missed is a mini-camp. He was 2nd in the running for mvp last year and piloted the packers to their best record ever. One bad decision at the end of a very long and cold game and you guys act like he should blow his brains out. Who honestly thinks that a kid who's never started an NFL game is going to be the missing piece of the puzzle that gets us back to the SB? Some of you guys trip me out. I was born and raised 10 miles from Lambeau and have family members that played for Lombardi. Reading some of these comments about Brett make me wonder what the hell you people are smoking. Before Brett Favre, the Packers had only won one playoff game since 1967! We were the laughing stock of the league and I was sometimes ashamed to be a fan. You guys act like he’s been out of the league for 5 years and is trying to come back. He only announced retirement a few months ago so it’s not like he’s going to have a to shake off a lot of ring rust. Be realistic….all he’s missed is a mini-camp. He was 2nd in the running for mvp last year and piloted the packers to their best record ever. One bad decision at the end of a very long and cold game and you guys act like he should blow his brains out. Who honestly thinks that a kid who’s never started an NFL game is going to be the missing piece of the puzzle that gets us back to the SB?

In the 3 years he has been in the NFL you seem him go 1 maybe 2 series under center. you can not base how goos he will be from that. if you ask me Rodgers is the biggest sleeper in the NFL. think about it he road the pine pney for 3 years learing from one of the greatest players to ever set foot on the fied. i wish i was in his shoes to have a mentor like that ( better than Vinny T and some of the other old heads) give the kid a chance and he will suprise you, and if he does turn out to be a bust it is his own fault for not learing/listening to farve all theses years. He's already retired and him coming back to play could only last a season...maybe two. You're going to have to let him go at some point, and face it, the Packers are not going to the Superbowl, they don't have the talent. The defense is getting older and not better. If they don't, and they take Favre back to play a little more, Rogers' contract will expire, they'll be bad blood, they'll lose him, and they'll be back to square one...and completely S out of luck. You may think this crazy but the Packers have a better chance of getting to the Super Bowl with Rodgers than they do with Favre. While Favre has made incredible plays in the past and holds basically all the passing records, lets not forget that he also made some horrible mistakes at the most inopportune time. I really feel like you guys have a better chance with Rodgers than with Favre. He's not a rookie. He's been with you for 3 years. He knows the system, has a strong arm, and is more mobile than Favre. Tell Brett he is retired and stick with Rodgers. I remember things working out pretty well for a QB named Young when he took over for the GREAT Joe Montana.
