On Monday, Peter King of SI.com reported that agent Bus Cook will ask the Packers to reinstate quarterback Brett Favre to the active roster in the next ten days.
Coincidentally, and as a reader has pointed out, Favre is scheduled to be at Lambeau Field in eleven days to present center Frank Winters for induction into the Packers Hall of Fame.
Um, awk-ward.
We can’t imagine Favre not following through, given the special bond that a center and a quarterback have, given that, you know, one guy constantly presses the back of his palm into the other guy’s taint.
So between the Hall of Fame ceremonies, which will be held at the Lambeau Field atrium, and the shareholders’ meeting five days later, it could be a very beautiful week in Wisconsin.
Or a very ugly one.

So how pissed off do you think the people at EA sports (guys who make John Madden Football) are over this? They put together this whole cover honoring the retired “gunslinger”, now not only might he be coming back, but he may be wearing an inaccurate jersey in the picture.
I wonder just how much money (scheduled media tour for #4?) has just been sh-t-canned. Possibly worse, that it is “maybe” sh-t-canned.

For the sake of the children, I am willing to pay somebody - ANYBODY! - who is in Lambeau on the day of the induction to break Favre’s throwing arm in 3 different places.* I’m offering up to $10 per break. Some lucking guys going to walk away with a cool thirty big ones (or about 7 gallons of gas).
And, what the hell, I’ll add $10 for each Florio finger broken so that he can’t write about this crap again until *something factual actually happens* (no more conjecture).
* I never condone violence (except on an NFL field or during rookie symposiums) but this “Farve Watch” is absolutely ludicris. It’s time to STOP THE MADNESS!

You know what else could be awkward? What if Ted Thompson and Brett Favre both have reservations at the same restaurant next week? Or if they both get their nails done at the same place?
We get it. The Favre thing is a weird situation, difficult for lots of people. We don’t need you to point out every conceivable time that people might feel awkward or vent tehir frustration. We get it.

What’s with all these erroneous reports about Farve returning. Don’t reporters pay attention? He retired! And then when an erroneous report came out about him returning Farve said the report was wrong!
He’s not coming out of retirement. If he did he’d look incredibly needy and pathetic so he’d never do that.

This is gonna be one ugly soap opera drama from the July 19th induction to the early September “Lord Favre” festivities of Opening Day at Lambeau.
This is not usually my type of story, but now it’s like watching a car wreck. Except it’s in slowwwwww motion…
It might take 9 weeks to unfold.

Favre isn’t even coming back, so that is a moot point. How bad could Rodgers be? As bad as T Jacks Off? I doubt it, he would need to get a lobotomy first and if that happened, it would be a sign that he is looking forward to a coaching career with the BIQUEENS after football.

What is happening now trumps all that recent history success that gb has enjoyed against the Vikes. I can see gb starting to implode with the weight of this distraction, with Rodgers pulling out the old Nancy Kerrigan line ‘why is this happening to me?’

Underneath the days without arrest meter (btw very close to double digits) we should have a Favre watch. Make it like the doomsday clock. Right now, it’s be set at like 2 minutes to midnight. If TT decides to take an extended vacation, it’ll be 3 minutes to midnight. If Favre starts shooting his Wrangler commercials in Wisconsin, it’s 1 minute to midnight. If he actually signs his retirement papers, 5 minutes to midnight.

Yes I did report them. Obviously Florio disagreed with me as that post is still there.
Again, if you tire of reading the Favre stuff don’t come here. I have been a Packer fan all my life and I am sick of it too. I voice that opinoin. But I do not feel your comments were appropriate for this venue. Nothing personal of course.
As far as the hugs and kisses…..give those to Brett as he obviously needs the attention.
