Titans linebacker Ryan Fowler was informed via letter last month that he could face a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.
He denied using steroids at the time, and now his lawyer is asking the league to answer some questions.
“I’ve asked the NFL to do two things: One is to give any support or information backing up that initial threatening letter, and the NFL has refused to give any information whatsoever,” attorney Peter Ginsberg said. “I’ve also asked the NFL to investigate who at the NFL leaked the content of that initial letter.”
Ginsberg adds that he and Fowler have “heard nothing of any substance” from the NFL since the day they found out that the league was looking into allegations that Fowler used steroids.
The convicted steroid dealer David Jacobs said in May that he had some connection with Fowler, although it’s not clear exactly what that connection was. Jacobs committed suicide in June.

Thanks to the very subjective dictatorship that the NFLPA has allowed to happen the NFL doesn’t have to give them anything. Goodell can do anything he wants without much recourse.
This will be one of the gives that the NFL will probably have to visit to get what they want.

Maybe he was located around the vicinity during the time of the “murder-suicide”? Sounds like another Law & Order episode in the making.

So if I get the story straight, Fowler has not tested positive for banned substances, but because a known liar and drug dealer says he has a connection to Fowler, he’s under the scrutiny of the league? That is bullshit if you ask me. I could have my facts wrong because I don’t remember the first part of the story though. But if I am right in my assessment, its hearsay and not possible to corroborate without a positive drug test. Why would you want to start going down the slope of suspending people for possibly maybe one time have thought about doing something illegal?
