Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu pleaded guilty today to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to one day in jail and fined $1,255.
Tatupu was arrested on May 10 after he was pulled over for speeding and driving erratically. A Breathalyzer test later revealed his blood-alcohol level to be nearly twice the legal limit.
Tatupu, who has started every game for the Seahawks since they selected him in the second round of the 2005 draft, signed a six-year, $42 million contract extension in March.

Slappy, if Tatupu was the best QB evar (I’m looking at you, Ben Roflburger) he’d be honored by the mayor for the DUI.

Hey, at least he truly owned up to it instead of blaming someone/something else. Let’s just hope he learns from it.

After hearing the news about spending one day in jail, Lofa will take tatupu before he leaves to avoid any unsanitary conditions. Turd.

Poor guy obviously missed the rookie symposium, where they apparantly tell you to refuse the breatalyzer…works for others.
Also, he didn’t call the officer a “kkk devil”. I also hear, and remember, this is only what I have heard, that he didn’t even try to bite the cop! Can you believe this?
Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Out of curiousity, does a cab ride cost $1300 and a night in jail?
Where I’m from it doesn’t, but gosh, these NFL players must really pay huge cab fees to get around, hence the reason they dui all the time.
