Forget Dr. Ian Smith. Michael Strahan’s new BFFs are FOX colleague Jay Glazer . . . and Subway pitchman Jared Fogle.
So says Richard Deitsch of SI.com, in his June media power rankings.
Strahan and Jared met when they filmed a commercial together for Subway, and they have become friends. Throw in Glazer, and you’ve got the makings of a revival of The Three Stooges.
Deitsch shares a story of Glazer trying to stick Strahan with a phony bar tab in excess of $25,000 while hanging out with Fogle and some executives from Subway. It’s worth a read.
“He’ll get me back I’m sure and it’ll suck,” Glazer told Deitsch of his prank on Strahan.
Some possibilities are detailed in Chapter 2 of the book on which Strahan and Glazer collaborated in 2007. Our personal favorite entails pulling a Najeh Davenport into the water tank on a toilet.

Taking a Najeh into the watertank on the toilet is known as an Upper Decker, for future knowledge, please refer to it as that. I would hate for this site to lose credibility because the editor doesn’t know slang for taking Najehs in unique places.

I’d pay to see Strahan give Fogle the eyepoke (through Fogle’s glasses).

I could tell Jared and Strahan were tight by that commercial. More meat! Now, who else was hoping for McLovin?

I gotta say I’m a little saddened that the Upper Decker is going mainstream. It’s been an underground classic for years.
