With July 4th come and gone, it’s high time for NFL teams to get their draft picks signed.  The Pittsburgh Steelers clearly agree.

The team and offensive tackle Tony Hills, their fourth-round pick, signed a three-year contract today.  According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Hills will receive a signing bonus of $304,500 and yearly salaries of $295,000, $385,000 and $470,000.

Hills, who played his collegiate ball at Texas, suffered a broken leg during his senior season and, if he recovers fully, may have been a steal in the fourth round for Pittsburgh.  He’s the first of the seven Steeler draftees to agree to a contract.
