I knew this man personally and he was an amazing person...vibrant and full of life. His energy was magnetic, he was intelligent and overall easy going. How can you call someone "scum" and "trash"? Shame on you people. Yea he had gotten into trouble but he was just a kid when it all happened. He was getting his life back on track...he was going to play for the Chargers next season actually.... Played poker with him at the Village Club cardroom here in San Diego. Seemed to enjoy life. Had a buddy of his hang around and play sometimes, who he was teaching poker to, it seemed. Every time I saw him, in my mind I said "Purple Draaaaank!" I think he was troubled, maybe, at not being picked up after being released. Very sad. OMG I knew that dude.
