Free-agent running back Najeh Davenport says that he’s targeting the Lions and the Cardinals as his potential next destinations in the NFL.
He can take the Cardinals off the list.
Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports the the Cardinals have no interest in Davenport.
G.M. Rod Graves advised Somers of the team’s position via text message.
Our advice to Dookie? If you want to continue playing in the NFL, take what you can get. Even then, with Shaun Alexander and Travis Henry and Cedric Benson and Kevin Jones on the market, the options might be very limited.

Somebody explain to me what these Dookie references are all about.
What the heck did Najeh do to - ahem - get on the chit list, so to speak? Allegedly, of course…

Poor Dookie. The market is just flush with free agent running backs.

I don’t understand the Najeh hate. People make him out to be a scrub, and he’s not. He was great when called upon in Green Bay, and he was great when called upon in Pittsburgh. Something is wrong if he doesn’t catch on with another team. I’d take him as a back up over Alexander, Benson or Henry any day of the week.

Dookie is the ultimate number 2.
I don’t have any issue with Naj, it’s just fun making poo jokes. He did a good job for the Steelers.

I don’t know much about Najeh, but I’d have to think he’d be an improvement over Edgerrin “No Gain” James — the 4th-best RB in the NFC West.
