Love that CFL talk on profootball talk -- other than the 3 downs, all the other rules are better (no fair catch, wider fields, the rouge!!)

Wish the NFL would widen the field to CFL levels so that we could see more big runs and open field jukes. It would also help reduce the impact of 360 pound guys on the defensive line clogging things up.

As a Lions fan, I'm happy to read about Avon Coburne catching on somewhere, he's an exciting RB. And #2 in NFL Europe total yards in 2004!

He should have gone Anthony Dorsett's route and played on a different side of the ball. Less hype and comparison that way and, as Dorsett shows, nobody cares when a defensive player (who also happens to be the son of one of the best RB's of all time) is out of the league.

Payton was OK, but he had fumbleitis last year when he wasn't injured altogether. The Alouettes made the right decision, and plus, Payton's a 4.6-40 guy at best. Not fast enough...

Sometimes the apple does fall too far from the tree.

Let's face it, this kid would've never played at the U if he woesn't Walter Payton's son.

I remember watching Miami v. West Virginia when Payton played. The starting running back who I think was Frank Gore got injured and Payton had to shoulder the work load. Payton spent the whole game gasping for air. He was in terrible condition.
