Former Syracuse and Patriots (for like a week) coach Dick McPherson thinks that the Dolphins defense is in good hands with Paul Pasqualoni.
The Chiefs have unofficially retired No. 37, which was worn by the late RB Joe Delaney.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher told this year’s rookies that the only time they’re truly off the field is when they’re in their homes (or when they’re, you know, in jail).
The Titans’ light-blue alternate jersey is now their official home jersey.
Barack Obama might accept the Democratic nomination at Mile High Stadium, home of the Broncos.
Could a looming rookie wage scale entice more underclassmen to make the leap to the NFL in 2009?
Pats WR Randy Moss will change the number of his new Craftsman Truck Series entry from 46 to 81, his jersey number in New England. (And maybe he can also ride shotgun and moon people.)
Happy Birthday, Mr. Managing General Partner.
Could Brett Favre play for the Bears?
Or the Vikings?
The Titans haven’t signed any draft picks yet, but they’re not worried.
Vikings S Tyrell Johnson, their second-round pick in the draft, says it’s important that he sign a contract before training camp opens.

That should be quite a scene at Mile High….the elitists rubbing elbows with the tailgaters…I can see Bill Clinton out there in the parking lot doin’ shots and checkin’ out the tail…Obama will no doubt have to stoop and kiss Elways ring (or ass) before he delivers the speech…

Macpherson coached the Pats in 1991 and 1992, so if by a week you meant two seasons… They were very entertaining to watch in 1991, the 6-10 record does them no justice. However, Macpherson had health problems the next year, the team was awful and that was that.

Don’t worry, Obama will flip flop a few times before the convention on this, and probably 100 other topics.

“And maybe he can also ride shotgun and moon people.”
The correct thing to say would have been - …and PRETEND to moon people. He never mooned, he pretended. Big diff. But what ever it takes for to have fun and feel witty I guess. He will likely be in a hall of fame some day… anyone else?

Oh… I can’t believe that you even put a link up to that rubbish about the possibility of Favre going to Minnesota. I can’t believe that the St. Paul pioneer press printed it. There are sooooo many things wrong with his logic. First of all the playbook that coach Childress implements would take a full season to learn and that’s the dumbed down version. He would not be able to start until midway through the season and that is Tarvaris Jackson ends up in the dog house, or injured. How long do you think Favre is going to stick around? Second Brett could get 12 million out of Green Bay just by showing up. The Vikings do not have that kind of cap room and even if they did I do not think they would get a return from their investment. I would like to mention that I am a huge Favre fan. He is a true Iron man, but the fact is he has some very bad habits that you would not rubbing off on a young developing Quarterback. Sure he has a rocket arm…when his shoulder is not separated. He would throw a lot of touchdowns (don’t forget he also holds the interception record). So despite the fact that I love Favre there is a 0% possibility that he would end up in Minnesota. And to speculate such is just ignorance.

That would be the best thing to happen at Mile High since the Pat’s took that intentional safety and David Givens caught that pass to win the game. GOBAMA! GOPATS!
-A conservative Pats hater’s worst nightmare

I never did understand what the deal about PANTOMIMING mooning someone was. Seriously? People were offended by that? Get real people. a 6 year old could do that and you’d just smirk at it. But cuz it was Randy Moss doing it at Lambeau field… then its DISGUSTING!

My advice to Obama is to have Terrell Davis standing behind him on the podium. Nobody’s won anything coming out of Denver without TD.

Actually, I thought it was an Alabama reference - as in Go ‘Bama? - not a political reference - as in Go Obama?
Besides, Obama can go anywhere he wants to go. What does that have to do with how much a pastor pays for a gallon of gas in Colorado?
But I like Kevin’s post the best… You gotta love a Terrell Davis reference!!!
