"...when cheapshot artist Rodney Harrison gets injured"

Has it become PFT policy that EVERY article requires a Patriots related comment. Obsessing much?

There should be a rule against continuous standing in every stadium. Sure, in every game there are times you stand, when your team makes a great play, when your team is at the goalline (offense or defense), when cheapshot artist Rodney Harrison gets injured, you know the great moments. Real fans can recognize the key moments when you should stand and cheer

But there is nothing more annoying than the guy who refuses to sit down at any point, thus forcing whole sections of the stadium to stand just to see a 2 yard run on 2nd and 8 from your own 30.

Furthermore, the team is no longer allowed to play in such a manner that might encourage continuous standing. Whereas this policy has been informal in the past, it is a formal policy today.

Count on it...don't tread (stand) on (in) me (my sitting view.)

As a season ticket owner at Arrowhead, I'm glad this has been clarified. Getting the thousands of Red and Gold faithful to stay seated during ANY given game would've been impossible anyway. And to those of you who say you couldn't be paid to go watch the Chiefs, I invite you to come to Arrowhead and see how amazing the atmosphere is both before and during the game. It's hard to find better tailgating - and it's truly a college like atmosphere.

Go Chiefs.

Teams have to write policies like that because most people do not know how to act at a professional sporting event. Here's some other suggested policies:

1. Cheering for the opposing team is permitted. Some of these fans are actually intelligent if you take the time to speak to them. Try it, it might be fun.
2. Fans are not permitted to sit throughout the entire timeout and then get up and go to the mens room or concession when plays are being run.
3. Violation of rule 2 more than once per game is subject to ejection and/or revocation of future tickets.
4. Cell phones should be used before the game, at halftime, after the game, or outside the seating area. Standing while talking on cell phones is covered under rules 2 and 3.
5. You paid more than $100 to watch the game. So STFU and watch the game. Get falling down drunk at home. Thanks to you, no one else can get a beer in the 2nd half.

When I started going to games, my father explained how I should act and called me out if I stepped out of line. Nothing major just little things about when to get up, when to return, and how to not disrupt others from enjoying the seats they paid for. And at that time, the seats cost $7 and there were no PSLs. If more fathers did what mine did, policies like the Chiefs and behavior like I am describing in my "policies" would not be necessary.

I think this is all prettyfreakin overblown..

When I first heard about the policy, I assumed that it was directed at people standing for looooooooooooooooooooooong periods of time, NOT at people being the 12th man or at involved fans in general.

Once again the media blows something way out of context and, like lemmings, a bunch of idiots take it as gospel.

Whoever's in charge at the Chiefs seems like a bunch of fogeys. You can't stand up for extended periods of time, and they (Herm Edwards) was the one who wanted players to cut their hair.

This is all just a clever marketing ploy by the Chiefs to sell PSLs, Permanent Standing Licenses, to people who want to stand continuously.
